Sunday Sunday Sunday

The kids are being picky with their organ meats. I had to hand feed both Tikki and Mis their livers, only Coco went for the liver by herself (is there anything meaty she DOESN'T eat??).

They were cage-free in my room for around 6 hours. For the first two-three hours they spent a good deal running around, playing, and entertaining Annabelle while she stood on my bed (she was scared they were going to bite her toes - she isn't three yet, she's scared Everything is going to bite her toes... xD).

They went back, and they got a chicken drumstick and some Stella and Chewy's freeze-dried chicken.

I'm planning on getting the bigger sampler from Casey's Hidden Pantry and see which they like the most, so I can have some freeze dried out for them while they're running around my room. I don't want fresh raw out in my room, but the freeze dried usually gets eaten only when it's needed.

This weeks schedule:

Monday:
AM: Chicken Breast Soup, with egg, a tad of cream, a little powdered eggshell
PM: Chicken Wings

T - TH:
AM: Pork
PM: Beef/Lamb

W-F:
AM: Chicken Wings
PM: Chicken Breast

Sat:
Rabbit

Chopping up Rabbit

Chopped up my first rabbit. What an experience. Not exactly very different from chopping up chicken, just positioned differently. Tomorrow the kids are going to get the rabbit "wings" along with chicken leg meat. Yum yum!

Chestnuts!

So I took Coco out to go pick chestnuts with me. It's about a 15 minute walk to where the chestnut trees are, and she sat in my hoodie for the whole way there, just sticking her head out every now and then.
Once we got down to looking for fallen chestnuts, I took her out and hooked her up to the leash and let her walk around. She started following my shoes, like she didn't want to get lost. It was adorable.
Unfortunately, her harness doesn't fit her right, and she kept squeezing out of it. I need to get all three fuzzies new harnesses, since I've run out of them.

Still, we had a good haul, and Coco got to meet some people who though she was Awwww-sooo-cuuute. It was fun.

Chicken wings this morning, with a 500mg Taurine capsule. They'll have the meat from chicken drumsticks this evening. Yay!

AHA!

I caught Mis chowing down on a piece of lamb. He was making faces at it, but he was eating it. xD Apparently, he ran out of pork and was still hungry, haha... They still have some pieces left right now (6:30pm) and they're getting their nightly feeding in about... an hour and a half.
But yes! I'm happy, they're eating lamb! One more meat to add to their "Will Eat" list.

Weighing Day!

Tikki : 1.4 lbs = 1lb 6 ozs
Coco: 2 lbs
Mis: 3 lbs

Whoohoo! All three have been stable the past two months, so that's good. Now is about the time they're going to be putting on winter weight. I know Tikki will, but we'll see about the kids, since it's their first winter.
Tikki has blown her coat already, she's got an almost rat tail going on, almost. Coco and Mis haven't had any coat changes yet, but they still might. We'll see. :D

Lamb?

Breakfast today: Pork chunks with lamb chunks mixed in

Coco is my raw star - it took all of five seconds to convince her lamb was good. Scruffed her, stuffed a piece in her mouth, and that was it. I gave her another piece of lamb, and she was off to the corner to eat it.
Tikki ate the lamb I gave her, but preferred pork. She knows it - it's "safe". xD
Mis is convinced lamb is poison and rolls around, even scruffed, like he's in the greatest pain imaginable. Still, I got him to eat a piece of lamb, so maybe he'll change his mind.

They'll get another mix of pork and lamb for dinner. Yay! Now, I just need to get them a rabbit for saturday, and I'm set. :D

I can't really think up titles too well...

Chicken wings for breakfast today + a 500mg Taurine capsule. The kids don't like their hearts that much... >:c

The veal seemed to be a good choice, I'm going to get some later, after I run out of beef. x3 Tikki likes it as much as Coco and Mis, which is better than with the beef.

Slight Change of Plans...

I got some veal tails yesterday, and lamb, so today the kids are getting veal tails for breakfast/whole day, depending how much they eat. I got the pork out to thaw, but we'll see if we get to it today. It's rainy and cool, and the kids are pretty sleepy.
They'll be getting lamb on Thursday, instead of beef.
Tikki, who eats the beef because it's there and she's hungry, is chowing down on the veal. Maybe the taste isn't as, well, strong as the beef? Probably...
Coco was falling asleep while chewing, and Mis chewed on some, spit it out, and went to go lay down on top of Tikki, who was trying to get comfy in one of the beds. Yes, lay down on top of her. And he wonders why the girls kick him out when they're trying to sleep... xD

Breakfast Pics

Pictures of breakfast! The kids decided that soupies are icky, but I froze the second portion to try again tomorrow morning. xD I'm going to get some goat, and hopefully lamb today, and some Taurine supplements. xD

Here are the pics:

Coco looking over the chicken.

Tikki and Mis, a hissy fit followed.

Tikki with a chicken wing! Score!

And the cage!

Soupies

2 Game Hen Thighs, deboned
1 huge chicken liver
1 chunk veal kidney
1 chunk sweatbreads
2 eggs, whole, scrambled
1 1/2 tbsp pumpkin

Blend well
Makes 2 servings

Who is eating:
Coco - YES
Tikki - If I'm Hungry Enough
Mis - OMG POISON

Still working on them. No one ate any organs yesterday when they were in chunks (it was a rainy day, and they pretty much slept all the way through it), so I whipped this up. Mis is starting to slowly take it, he's obviously not a soup guy. Tikki can't decide whether she wants it or not. Coco took a few licks and then sat down for about a minute or two and just licked up soup from the bowl.

Going to go check on them in a bit, after breakfast, and see if I can't get more down into Mis and Tikki.
